He was absolutely thrilled.

So insane amounts of climbing today.

The first break that went today was a six rider group of riders who were just going, what are we doing?

It was the most dutiful attack.

And I don't think, I think they probably expected to be, you know, kind of caught and passed, but be part of a sort of very, very early break that was of no relevance.

Unfortunately, six of them got up the road and the bunch went, that'll do for time, for the time being.

So they had to take on the first few kilometers of the Croix de Fer.

And none of them were pure climbers either.

It was riders like Baptiste Feistrofer and, you know, all the slightly heavier riders.

I find it quite funny when riders get in a breakaway by mistake like that, especially on a day like this.

Yeah, and I suppose some of them would have been expected to finish in the Grappetto anyway, so they've kind of bought themselves a bit of sliding space.

And they've been in the race.

You know, at the end of the day, they can say, well, Lilly's not attacked.

And had a go.

Lizzie, it was Visma, Lisa, Bike.

They didn't have a rider in that doomed early move.

But on the first climb, they put Victor Campenaerts on the front and one or two others, I think.

And they really signaled their intention because, no, Jonas being a god, they've got to try.

And they were so close with Sepp Kuss the day before.

So he was clearly the target of their attention today.
