Pigansole, who's this amazingly talented young Italian rider, who I think Visma Lisabike are thinking about, he's the successor.
I think so.
Wow.
Because he was under instruction.
He was under instruction at the Giro to, you know, ride for Jonas, but then carry on riding for his own GC race, which he did with great success.
And he kind of didn't manage to do this at the Tour de France.
But I think he's been asked to really sort of answer some questions about himself.
So he did a great ride today.
He got dropped on the Galubier, but then fought on.
to get up there for Sepp Kuss, and he was so close to getting there.
4.8 kilometres from the top of the Galibier, when Carapaz did this, I think he was aware that Pagansolli was coming back, and he just went, that's not happening.
Bang!
And he just, he did this huge acceleration.
You think, he looks so fast, you almost think, even though it's 60-odd kilometres from the finish, I don't think we're going to see Richard Carapaz again.
That might have been the winning move.
Because when he goes, he's just got that absolute... Yeah, he's got a real kick, hasn't he?
Yeah, and he's ferocious.
Not what happened, actually, because there's some really experienced old heads.
Jai Hindley.
And when you consider Jai Hindley as well, it's only just occurred to me, Jai Hindley was the man who denied Richard Carapaz a second Giro d'Italia a few years ago, when Carapaz really, riding for Ineos, should have won that race.
