Like he's trying to appeal to the larger population and understanding that even though he can afford it himself, for the everyday fan, which he does mention...
Is that not an objective truth?
You know, is this not the most expensive World Cup there's ever been?
So he's not wrong in this opinion, but still he's having his opinion taken away from him.
And I think if that was my situation, I'd almost be asking the manager, well, why is it a problem that I'm talking about the price of these tickets?
And he said, oh, just focus on football.
Well, right now I'm talking to you.
so what should we do should we stop talking you know what i mean like there's more time away from the football pitch than there is on it and i think for him to try and address one of those issues and try and push to help all these fans from all these nations around the world i just don't see how it's a problem so i personally wouldn't take it well and i hope as craig said actually a few other members of this u.s menace national team i hope they start to revolt a little bit and speak up more because the end of the day pochettino can't drop them all but they can still make a difference socially to all those people who are going to go to the tournament
Oh, honestly, it's one of the worst, like, takes I think I've heard from a manager in such a long time.
It's just a ridiculous thought.
Like, it's not, like you said, it's not political, it's not left-leaning, it's not right-leaning.
It's about the price of tickets to a tournament, like the most expensive tournament ever.
Is that not just like an objective truth as such?
Unless, you know, someone can tell us otherwise.
So why can't he just speak in that manner?
Why can't he try and speak up for those people to try and help them so the tickets become cheaper instead of FIFA taking every single last penny from people to get the chance to go and watch this spectacle, you know, that they get a chance to see every four years?
You know, it's so disappointing that, as I say, Pochettino's taken that side of it.
Maybe at some point he'll be able to walk back some of those comments when there's a bit more pushback.
