I'm the same with Dave.

We had charts.

I didn't particularly pay attention to them.

What I paid attention to was what my shop actually had in stock on the shelves.

I would go and I would browse the shelves and see what took my fancy.

But I do remember being in W.H.

Smith, the stationary store here that sold a lot of software.

And there would be charts on the wall and there would be videos playing on the TVs in the corner of the latest releases.

But I can't say the charts impacted my purchasing decision.

But like you, Jason, I like going back to see the charts.

And I love the idea of what you explained of giving it context with film and other popular things at the time, because that just puts you in the mindset and puts you in the moment of exactly what was going on.

Because it's so easy to look back 30 or 40 years and get everything a bit confused and a bit mixed up and

uh you know mix up 1987 films with 1985 game releases uh especially when movie tie-ins released three or four years later than the actual movie came out um so i like that idea that's nice i'm not familiar with this website but i'm certainly going to check it out

And perhaps damaged a little bit by the, the piracy factor.

You know, we had, we had access to pretty much everything that we wanted to get access to through piracy or swapping labels.

um these are a bit before my time but we did learn when steve furber came here because i'm just a young man when steve furber came here he told us about how in blake 7 the cargo ship has a acorn system one at the heart of it and you can see that acorn in filming um i did a quick search there's no space 1999 video game that i can find but there is a blake 7 game is that

For the Oric computer.

But it wasn't released until 2017.
