Well, I think what the messaging reality is, is that the Pentagon was sort of managing it at a very low level.
Remember that uh CNN actually had a reporter embedded aboard Lincoln roughly a month ago.
And I saw those reports and she said everything's great and everybody's happy, and she went for an ice cream cone.
Now the Pentagon is fully engaged with their messaging, starting with acting secretary of the Navy.
Who put out a lengthy message yesterday, and I'll boil it down to it, is that our warriors are not victims.
Stop trying to make this into more than it is.
We are doing an exceptional job under extraordinary circumstances.
And that was repeated by uh Pete Hegsef, the Secretary of War, and Sean Parnell, the comms director at the Department of War.
He put
out his own sort of quote tweet saying, I deployed overseas.
I understand what it's like.
These people are doing the best they can and they're survivors, they're winners, they're warriors.
Stop trying to make this into uh a victimhood story.
That's the messaging from the Pentagon, Steve.
Yeah, CNN and MSNBC.
They're like uh Lord Ha Ha or Tokyo Rose.
But yeah, what they're trying to do is they're trying to figure out how do we keep these ships resupplied.
There's like two dozen warships out there.
There's a handful of military sea lift command ships trying to do these uh resupplies.
