Neil Sedaka

Born in Brooklyn in 1939, he was one of the original creators of the Brill Building Sound in the late 50s and early 60s.

Early hits included Oh Carol, Calendar Girl, and Breaking Up is Hard to Do, among others.

After the British invasion of the 60s changed the music landscape, Sadaka wrote hits for other artists, including Frank Sinatra and Elvis.

A comeback in the 1970s brought him back to the top of the charts with Laughter in the Rain, and in the 90s and beyond, he composed classical music.
