The aesthetics aside and people's expectations aside, what would be the downside of not collecting leaves to the town or any of our systems? podcast-host

Well, I'm not saying it would be easy. podcast-host

There are many environmental arguments as to why it would be better not to collect leaves and for people to mulch them onto their own lawns, not to mention saving us a substantial portion of the budget that you have. podcast-host

I mean, it's just a long-term thought, and obviously it would require a lot of education. podcast-host

Given the conversations we've had here this evening, especially as it pertains to stormwater management and not to mention improving Department of Community Development, and the fact that within this conversation we didn't really talk about how we've paved some of the, you know, we had one neighborhood road paving project that was completed, but you look around the roads within the town and podcast-host

They're certainly needing repaving and improving. podcast-host

I recognize next year is an election year. podcast-host

I certainly appreciate that, but I'm not sure the hard question of what we do with the tax rate in terms of trying to keep it where it is without adding to it or substantially reducing services or staffing is avoidable. podcast-host
