I love the idea that rather than, you know, losing teams scoring a try in the 79th minute to get their fourth of the game or whatever, and they pick up a pretty cheap bonus point off the back of it.
I much preferred the idea of scoring a try to deny your opposition a bonus point right at the death.
I think it just adds a little bit more spice to the whole thing.
And then the other change then as well, where top three automatically go through to the next round and the remaining teams fight it out for the next four places in their own little, I suppose, imaginary league table.
Essentially, the point of that is eliminate as much as possible.
As far as I know, the EPCR have run thousands of permutations and there is a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny chance a one-win team could go through to the round of 16.

It can happen easily with the previous system, but with the new system, it's only a very, very minute chance that that could happen.
find ways of getting teams to pay their best team week in week out in this competition and if that happens I think it'll already be better than it was the last couple of years yeah I think it's no harm as well that you can you can lose a bonus point during a game because it it does take a little bit of a sting out of a game so often where a team particularly an underdog gets a fourth try by the 37th minute and you're thinking all right well
