Why?
You know, because it's mathematics.
I don't think it's particularly exciting mathematics, but it can be good mathematics.
It's not earth-shattering.
But, you know, it's not physics.
Um, and so for a young person, they tend to get steered in the direction where there are jobs.
They stare, get into mathematical formalisms, conformal field theories and other ones.
It's a great subject, but you know, by and large, it's nothing to do with reality.
Um, and that's where the jobs are and that's, so there are the few people thinking about the foundations of physics as they relate to actuality.
