You know, that's a great question.
And the strategy behind it is, yes, when you use a memory palace, it is, especially for the first time, if you've never done this before, it is so sticky and such an experience for people who have never...
gone through that before and saw seen how amazing their memories can be so it's really hard to shake some of the first things you put in a memory palace but as you practice you get better ironically at forgetting what you put there when you want to but what i recommend is you know having multiple memory palaces and you know depending on whether it's information that
you plan to hold for just, you know, a few hours until you can spew it back out or a couple of days.
Maybe there's information that you just want to know forever, right?
Like maybe you're learning the periodic table and you would just love to know that information for as long as you live.
In that case, I might choose a specific new memory palace that will always and solely just hold that information.
And so I've never kind of tamper with it with anything else.
It's a bit of both, but it is still a very involved, active process of me saying like deliberately that I need to remember this.
But that's again, going back to my mind being primed for it.
I'm always thinking like that.
So it's really just, I know it's to the listener, it might sound like, oh, and now he has to remember to remember, but
