We have the DNF in Barcelona for Antonelli when he clearly passed Russell on pace.

And race pace for Antonelli is his secret weapon.

Then...

At the Red Bull Ring, the final part of the race, Antonelli was the clear superior, but that was also tyre advantage induced.

So, okay, that was a net gain, I guess, for Russell in terms of his standing compared to Antonelli.

But then last weekend, Antonelli was superior there as well.

Yes, that was the tyre issue that Russell had, but just a race pace difference.

Antonelli seems to be the superior.

And he has now, he's starting to understand that he can trust that.

And that makes this entire phase of the season that we just had where Russell, yes, closed back some points, a lot of points compared to Antonelli, but effectively loses out in the overall scheme of things to Antonelli.

And he's finding it very difficult to shake off Antonelli.

And even if he qualifies magically, whatever happened with the yellow flag, that lap at the Red Bull Ring from Russell was magic.

There's a relentlessness about Antonelli in race conditions that I've started to really like.

It's just, I don't care about deployment.
