Of The Transit of Venus, I wasn't particularly looking forward to it.

It seemed to move fairly slowly.

As I read it, it certainly changed for me, particularly at part three, and I suddenly noticed that I was enjoying the book.

I was having trouble putting it down and read for fairly lengthy periods.

Some of the sentences were just absolutely beautiful, and I think she just had a knack of...

of putting those words together in a way that I'd not really experienced, I thought.
