And I know this is a talk radio show and we want to try and pump it up a little bit.
It is fact that Adair has been waiting 40 years for a bypass.
It is fact that the Limerick to Fines Road has been in gestation for a long, long period of time.
It is also fact that those projects failed to get over the line reports and all that on a number of occasions.
So a lot of work and a lot of people have been waiting a long time for these projects.
And it is coincidental.
that the Ryder Cup is happening at the same time.
But you know what?
We're not disappointed about that.
And it's bringing a huge economic benefit to the region, which we're happy to capitalise upon.
And hopefully the event will bring the upside.
The government is committed to funding other projects around Adair, which are known as legacy projects, like the refurbishment of the Adair Village Hall, like a complete overhaul of
I'm absolutely agreeing with you, but I'm just saying they're merited apart from the fact that the Ryder Cup is happening.
These are merited projects and they have taken a long time to bring to a point of being shovel ready.
So the government, as I've said, and I'm repeating myself, all of the projects that Mairead has listed, which I support,
Once they are shovel ready, the government is now in a position to fund these projects.
And I think that's an important message for communities right around Ireland.
And we are investing in our electricity grid.
And we have hugely resourced with extra monies this year, as everybody knows, Irish water, to do all of the necessary wastewater infrastructure.
