Obviously, the state initially brought that murder charge forward.
probably believing that they may have had enough evidence to bring him on a kind of a joint enterprise case, but they pull away from that.
So obviously then we have the gunman.
Now there has been suspects for who is the person who pulled the trigger.
There was some evidence about that, was there, the other day in terms of Sean McGovern.
A name has been
You know, we have heard a name over time of a very notorious criminal from West Dublin who would have been, I suppose, like a lot of these guys, like Keating himself, not known as a sort of central figure in the Kennan cartel, but somebody that was probably brought in from outside, basically a gun from hire.
However, this guy has never been charged, basically.
You know, it may come around that it will be, but certainly isn't at this point.
Now, obviously, Sean McGovern is going to be sentenced on Friday for this.
What is his role?
His role really in all of this is kind of putting it all together, isn't it?
And indeed, the more traditional human informers, which we'll never know.
But, you know, they certainly get their information from a range of sources, the GardaĂ.
Now, McGovern, he obviously hasn't put in his mitigation, but his defence did question the GardaĂ and brought up the fact that he would have been on
in his defense's words, on the same level as Keating and therefore should receive a similar tariff.
However, Keating was done for an attempted murder.
Now, attempted murder can bring a life sentence in theory, but often it is a lesser charge than in relation to a murder, which McGovern obviously is done for two plots.
could he get consecutive sentences or concurrent sentences or is it likely to be... Well, he wasn't on bail at the time.
It's on trial.
