Yeah, so Sinead Warren has taken this case.

It's been heard in the high courts, which is like, there's no, I don't think there's any limit on damages if you're found, if you win the civil case there.

So she's taken the case.

She's basically suing the state, but it includes the justice minister and the Gardaí.

And she's saying that this happened in 2016.

And basically they said they were looking for a pair of yellow shorts that were used as part of alleged burglary, as you said.

And she was in bed with her partner.

They'd been going out for several years at that point.

And they say that they didn't know that this was a genuine burglary investigation, that they were looking for these shorts, that they didn't know that this guard would be there with his partner, Sinead Warren.

But on the other hand, her defense claims that it was basically a ruse, that they weren't happy with this relationship, that her partner had just was really well gotten in the guards and had just been promoted.

to a special task force and that they didn't like this and that basically they were going in to see if he was there and I suppose the big part of the case is these WhatsApp messages which were going around after which basically she says you know said that the guard was caught in the scratcher with the gouger that's what the quotes in the WhatsApp messages say and she basically her defence say that

there's no one else that could have sent this but guards who were in the house at the time.

And obviously the guards denied that it was a ruse.

They're saying that it was a legitimate investigation.

And, you know, the former detective who was in charge of the, who had obviously authorised the search at the time, he was kind of trying to, he was in court and he was defending this as well.

Yeah, he is, yeah.

He's a colourful character as well.

Yeah, and because he was shot, I suppose, as the... Probably most famous.
