I mean, Mike Gain, obviously as a person, part of the reason there was such huge interest and such an outpouring of sort of grief in Kerry is because Mike Gain was a particularly sort of popular, decent farmer.

And he seems to have taken Kelly in.

Now, as you said, he's living in this...

I suppose it's a, you know, it's a house, but it's sort of run down enough.

I think he's, you know, there's no, I don't know if there was electricity and things like that.

There may well have been electricity, but it wasn't a glamorous lifestyle.

And he's mostly helping Mike Gain out with sort of handyman and stuff on the farm.

He has a big farm, Mike Gain, about a thousand acres.

Yeah.

So there's a good bit of work to be done and Mike Gain doesn't seem to have been charging him much money or anything like that.

And obviously Michael Kelly is waiting for his asylum to be processed.

You know, wouldn't have access to a load of money I would imagine.

So everybody knew Michael Kelly in the area because it's, you know, rural part and anybody, I suppose, any American or non-local would kind of stand out.

But Michael Gane, Mike Gane goes missing.

It's in March and straight away there's big concerns for his safety because it's out of character really.

Yeah, so this is the most, I suppose, the sort of macabre element of it.

And also, you know, it also raised a lot of questions about that guard operation in the aftermath, some of which were spoken about by Drew Harris, the commissioner at the time.

But basically, his remains were found in this slurry tank and they were found in the most gruesome way because this slurry was being spread on the land and

And the person doing that, you know, found parts of it.

So, I mean, we're still not clear if he had been dismembered.
