That's the thing.
There's always something else.
And I can never turn it off either.
So this bird watching thing is always there.
So if I'm driving my car and something flies over, oh my goodness, I haven't seen one of those in a year or whatever.
So no, there's always new things.
And I think that for a lot of people to find the first occurrence of a particular species in Ireland, that's kind of the holy grail.
That's something that many of us are looking for.
But also, I must say, I get just as much pleasure from seeing a very common bird in the garden perhaps doing something I'd never seen before or behaving in an unusual way.
