With some tough, tough fixtures to come.
Do you think he'll play 3-5-2 again?
Yes, now it has to be said, in the couple of minutes after the change was made, Costa missed a glorious chance.
So it didn't automatically settle them down and they didn't suddenly appear to be a better team.
But once he got them in at half-time, that changed and they looked better in the second half.
What I really like is he cares so much about his player there.
He could easily have started a stand-off by saying, oh, you should be respecting me.
He didn't.
He's diffused the situation immediately.
And I think it's worth probably reminding...
neil taylor that he wasn't playing badly he was sacrificed it was one of those things okay it happened in front of all the crowd with three or four minutes ago yes he should have probably waited till half time but i think for the greater good now the quicker he's seen smiling in the training ground having a laugh with his manager the better because then they can just it's the one probably standout thing that i'm glad has been cleared up from their performance today because they've got themselves into a good place mentally now as a team they can kick on from here some hard games coming up and they don't need that baggage
No, I don't think so.
I think for the first 15 minutes of the game they came out with purpose and they looked like the team that were more comfortable.
And it was only the first goal, Chelsea getting the first goal changed, that made everything different.
They lost their confidence onesie and so it was hard for them to act as a group, to work the hard side of the game and Chelsea took over.
And to be honest, if we set it at half-time, they should have been out of sight.
Chelsea had done enough to be two, possibly even three goals ahead.
What was impressive about them was when they got the break and got their confidence back, their tails came up immediately and they sniffed that there was something in the game for them and they really kicked on there.
I believe so, because had they got turned over badly today, which was on the cards at one stage, and they didn't show the commitment and passion and driven energy together, then they go into these games a much different team.
They go in in the doldrums.
