And I thought, okay, well, that is, you know, you do a quadruple take and nobody in the room is expecting this at all.

Honestly, the elephant is a long-running symbol for the Republican Party, by the way.

And then you think this can't get weirder.

And then they lead it down the gangway in the middle of the hall that is separating the 5,000 guests.

So everyone's rushing to the gangway.

And the elephant, it's got like a SWAT team around it and everything.

And it walks past.

And then about halfway up, the elephant pauses in the middle of the room.

The door's still about 100 metres away.

It's a massive hall.

It pauses and just urinates in the middle of the floor.

Just stands there and relieves itself right in the middle of a convention hall.

And then, in its own good time, makes its way up the end and out the door.

And I gather it was posing for selfies later in this exhibition hall they had around the corner.

So, I mean...

You can say it's a metaphor for this, that, the other.

I'm not going to go there.

But as welcomes to the World Cup go, that was something.

Nice.

yeah you've seen one of the big five yeah exactly world cup safari um and you know i i had lots of interesting conversations with um with people during my time at the event it was very educational and not in necessarily good ways i'm not gonna go here into all the things i saw and heard but it was certainly an interesting welcome to one side of um of residing in texas for a bit and covering a world cup so um
