And so another five or 10 minutes go by.
And I mean, Layla, literally I was sending my friends a picture.
The person that sat in front of me in the bleachers was Anthony Rizzo in his blue Jersey from game seven.
And my friend's like, you gotta be kidding me.
And Rizzo sits down.
He goes, last time I was out here, somebody hit a ball to me.
you gotta be kidding he said that i mean it was just it was crazy and so then bush hits the ball and i'm thinking no way come on and rizzo stands up and you're like oh this is this is just meant to be and the ball as as we know goes right off his hand and he's holding his son and i look down and the ball is literally on my foot
No way.
And what pissed me off from a year ago is that he was trying to catch that ball from a year ago and I didn't feel like anybody ever gave it back to him.
I mean, that was his ball.
It was hit to him.
He just didn't make the play because I think he had a beer in his hand the first time.
But I picked it up and immediately was like, here you go.
And everybody went nuts.
And...
for a second he was like hey thanks but then there was another like after another couple minutes he's like so you're just a fan and i was like yeah
I couldn't believe that I was sitting there in the middle of everybody.
And, I mean, as far as I'm concerned, as a lifelong fan, it was just meant to be.
But it was such a cool moment for that ball to just be right there.
Because there's a part of me.
