So to your point, and to your point also, there does seem to be an overlap between distinct interests.

And by that I mean there is a distinct U.S.

deep state.

Let's call it like a homeland force.

Now, we both have an interest in, let's say, depriving Iran of a nuclear bomb or maybe even of regime change.

But I would say there's something more subtle going on, which is that the people in the Pentagon know we have to confront China.

But if we confront China, we're going to need to rebalance our force posture in the world.

And that means we can't fight Russia and Europe and fight Iran in the Middle East and fight China and Taiwan worldwide.

We have to hand off the security responsibility to NATO.

That's why we need to get their numbers up.

That's why the collective security needs to be France, Germany, and the UK, not us.

What do they want to do in the Middle East?

Well, Netanyahu said in his address to the joint session of Congress, the Abraham Accords should become the Abraham Alliance.

They want a NATO-like defensive pact with Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Bahrain, Syria, Lebanon, eventually Iran, so that we hand off security to them.

And who will run that defensive treaty?

Israel, because they're the nuclear country.

They have a qualitative military edge guaranteed by the U.S.
