You know, I mean, you go right back to the

Auckland Unitary Plan of 2017-18.

But even more recently, it's become a pretty hot topic.

This current government's been very strong about enabling more building to happen.

We know that the Labour Party is very similar.

So you would hope that the potential for planning reform doesn't really change too much, no matter who's leading government.

And the question was, do they feel that

All this talk, all this discussion, the potential for greater intensification is going to benefit your local area or otherwise.

And it was general positivity for people saying, yep, most of the plan reform being done is a good thing for their area.

So, Diego, I think it makes sense to come to you first.

You know, there's been nowhere that's seen more development in the last few years, as I said, probably encouraged by the YouTube plan than Auckland.

What's the view on the ground there?

You must talk to plenty of developers and people that are selling and building new houses.

Is there that high density oversupply that we sort of hear about?

And what's your take on the future of planning and design for the Auckland supercity?

This might be too granular for this conversation, but are they in areas that are going to be well serviced by the city rail line?

Like is CRL going to be a bit of a saviour for these places so that then people go, I'm more interested to live here now because I know my transport to town is going to be better or is it a bit hard to tell at this stage?

It's supposed to be the savior, Diego.

You've got to buy into it and we've got to change our ways.
