We'll have to make it work because it is our largest city.
That's never going to change.
And we need to be able to house a great population there.
But let's move back down to the south, James.
And I expect the construction down there has been a bit more modest.
I'm assuming there's plenty of land there.
You know, Invercargill's never going to have, I don't think, a problem with too much traffic.
I think you've got the widest streets in the country.
They certainly built that city with expectation it was going to house millions of people.
But I'll take the tongue firmly out of my mouth.
What's your take on construction down there, mate?
I mean, when you talk about the big appeal of living in the smaller cities around the country, it is because you can get that three bedroom, one bathroom apartment.
with the lawn, right, with the place for the killies to run around in.
So, yeah, I think even more so in those smaller cities, there's going to be a massive mindset change rather than Auckland, which has a much more diverse type of people that have moved from overseas who are maybe more used to living in units and smaller properties.
So that change isn't so dramatic.
But, yeah, for the smaller town, you know, New Zealanders, it's a bit different.
But, yeah, it's an interesting one, that's for sure.
Yeah, I mean, they've got to be creative, right?
And they need to do their due diligence to understand that whatever you build, there better be demand for it.
And they do their work to understand and make sure that's the case.
