And I have a hard time with that because there's only about one and a half to two percent of us out here doing this anyway.
And when we start losing farmers, that means we start losing farms to corporate entities.
Bigger farmers buy out little farmers.
We don't need fewer farmers on the land.
We need more farmers on the land.
And the other side of this is when we start losing farmers to failure,
That brings on a mental health crisis that we have seen and we are seeing.
That happened back in the 80s.
It happened in the 90s.
It's happening now.
And we don't have mental health resources in rural America like they do in so many urban areas.
And you start to see cases of substance abuse and use go up.
You start to see suicide cases go up.
I don't want to wish ill on anybody for how they voted, and I certainly don't think most people in this country do either.
But that's some serious stuff when we start talking about that.
And it pains me when I hear that.
And I try to follow up with these folks and talk to them about how serious this is.
And most of the time, they get it after I have that conversation with them.
But
I understand people are upset and they have every right to be, but wishing ill on someone for how they voted is not the way to handle that because all that does is further the division that this administration wants.
