jackal uh jackal is that that's not really ar-15 though that's a completely different like takes an ar-15 mag it doesn't lower trigger fire control group but a br brm 180 on an ar lower than ar mag isn't an ar-15 i mean it's driven but it's not an ar-15 neither is an mcx fair

So they used to have a lot of piston systems, but they all sucked.

And the reason they sucked is what they were doing is they were using a piston that went through the hole that the gas tube goes through.

But the problem is that's not big enough for a piston, and they all bent eventually.

They would all break.

They tried long stroke.

They tried short stroke.

They tried two pieces.

They tried fucking springs in the middle.

They tried recoil dampening systems here and there.

But they all fucking broke.

Until HK came out with the 416 and they actually made the dimensions of the upper bigger and put a bigger fucking piston through there.

That's why that one actually works.
