So for him, right?
Like, this is kind of a prove-it moment for him.
And so if he can't do it here, I think that tells you a lot about where he is and what his future is.

To me, it just feels like McCarthy, even if he succeeds this year, is going to be put into a situation –
if that scenario plays out in which I don't see how he comes out of that without playing perfectly, like still the guy, because it just feels like another Minnesota quarterback that is going to need a new situation if he's going to thrive and succeed, because we're kind of like the Jets.
It feels like, hey, we're everything that Kyler needs, but we're also everything that JJ doesn't need right now.
And so it's this really weird mix in this.
where I don't even know what to feel or think.
Because if JJ wins it, like I said, I just don't think how we've set this up is going to work for him without playing perfectly.
Because our fan base, half of them want him to fail right now, it feels like.
And so it's fascinating, Chris, what's going to happen over this training camp and then the first four weeks.
Of the two, Kyler maybe, because if Kyler comes out of the gates, plays really well, our team or our fan base loves making the playoffs, right?
If he gets us off and has a great regular season, you talk about the ghost of Sam Darnold, and I hope that they make this decision in a vacuum and they evaluate him.
