Piers Morgan was on the telly the other day, wasn't he?

Saying Farage was dead in the water.

And there are some of your colleagues who may say, Well, that's that's problem dealt with.

We don't have to worry about that anymore.

Because it showed that Liberal Democrats were willing to lend votes to Labour, the Greens, even some Tories as well.

So why Andy Burnham then?

You mean there are other people who are in Westminster with you?

Uh there's Angela Rayner, there's Ed Miliband.

They broadly share your politics.

Lots of people thought they'd be very good as leaders of the Labour Party.

And yet a year ago you're having lunch with Andy Burnham already talking about him being Prime Minister.

So why so?

Everyone who talks about it, whether they are politically aligned with him or not, I have to say, this includes lots of his political enemies, talk about the fact he's empathetic, the fact that he's friendly, the fact that he remembers things.

I don't know him hugely well, but he always remembers, you know, my mum's unwell and asked me about that.

That's his his style, isn't it?

You've got a bond.

Somebody joked during the uh by-election, and he doesn't even go to the bathroom without Lou waiting outside.

But you're close and you have got closer as you've built up to this moment.

So What was the answer?

Yeah, I mentioned your resignation in the introduction and I imagine, is this right, still quite a painful thing to talk about.
