These arguments are mainly used for very progressive policies.
They argue for increased resources for poor families, for parent training for poor families, and they use the neurobiological evidence in order to support that claim.
In fact, many, many years ago, at the beginning of my career, I worked for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, and you saw exactly the same arguments, but framed in terms of psychodynamics, framed in terms of psychoanalysis.
And the belief is now that finally, at last, we have objectivity.
