Uh, this is cruel, and thank you very much for that.
But uh
There have been so many amazing debuts this year and I I mean I've already shouted out a couple like Katie Hoskins and and Melissa Shaman.
There's another book that I want to shout out in this.
It scratched a different itch for me.
It really did.
And that is Life Drawing by Emily Ligazzolo.
Um so I mean I knew Emily for years, uh, from my days of Booktopia.
She's a established in the industry working at a shette.
And she
Did this litfick examination of women's bodies in this book, and the inspiration for it came from going to a life drawing class and, in her eyes, experiencing body neutrality for the first time ever.
It follows this romantic relationship over many years.
The book is split up into three different parts.
This romantic relationship between two people over the course of college and then marriage and then kids, but it also is an examination.
of the relationship women have with their own bodies and and that the or there's a lot of power associated with that.
Time affects the women's b woman's body a lot through
children through age.
