One of the biggest examples being Uber or DoorDash or Postmates, right?
is out of a job or they're in between jobs.
They do Uber, they do DoorDash, whatever.
That does not count as unemployment, right?
Because they're a gig worker.
even though that's not like a, it's not a job in the sense of like, oh, this is something I'm doing and pursuing as a career.
And like, I want to advance in this thing and I can get a promotion next year and I can get a raise next year, right?
Like it's just Uber is Uber.
That's just what it is.

Or some people with jobs even are doing Uber or DoorDash or those sorts of things.
So that is a really, really terrifying thing to me about the unemployment data or it's just like how much the invention of, you know, like app-based jobs or gig-based jobs and those sorts of things.

You know what I mean?

But then anytime you ask...
anyone it's like i feel like every industry ever is having an insane amount of layoffs everyone is struggling to find a job who's applying to them even i as someone who i mean i graduated college in 2021 and it took me i remember i think like five or six months of applying to jobs date like aggressively applying to jobs to get my first job which was a freelance job it wasn't even a full-time job um
Like, everybody just unanimously is like, yeah, the job market kind of sucks right now.
