I always go to the front of the base with my left foot.
I'm on the front corner so that I know exactly where I am.
And then...
go from there but when things are moving that fast and you're trying to tag O'Neal Cruz who's got like elastic arms like around like hook sliding the back corner of the base like I don't think I can physically get there without going towards him right so yeah it was frustrating I felt like maybe within the rules that was maybe the right call but as far as the actual play itself
And he was out, so that was tough.
Yeah.
Mind you, the bases are bigger than they've ever been too.
So it's like there's even more real estate you're dealing with.
And my leg only went down because I reached to my right.
That's just how my body bends.
I can't catch that ball without my knee going down.
I'm not like a bender.
I have to squat.
Yeah.
Yeah, he would have made that play easily.
They seem like a strong baseball team, and I think the position players that they've added will really help their group, I think.
Like most things in mid-April, good or bad, you've got to see the test of time, and it'll be interesting to see them at different points of the season.
But they played a good brand of baseball against us.
Yeah, I mean, Ben's a guy who's always been hyper aware of every way that he can find an edge.
And, you know, he's big into a lot of, you know, kind of nutrition and recovery and everything on that end of things more than most people in our locker room.
