He raped and then murdered her in a mindless, drunken rage and afterwards lurched up to his bedroom to pass out. matched
The next morning, their five-year-old daughter Elaine arrived downstairs to find her mother's beaten and lifeless body on the floor of the sitting room. matched
She rushed upstairs to tell her dad that there was something wrong with her mum, she couldn't wake her up. matched
It's a detail that must have haunted Marlowe and the rest of his family for years, that a little girl should have experienced that kind of horror in her own home. matched
