You know, I felt so much shame around that.

I felt so much shame about the lineage too, because I was like, well, I clearly deserve this.

I suck.

I'm not a numbers person.

I'm bad with money.

Of course, this is going to happen to me.

And then these stories that continue to proliferate and shame is not a good money management system because it keeps you avoidant.

It keeps you out of these conversations that really could be helping you.

It's a mistake to remove the idea that shame has a huge part in what's keeping people in a cycle of debt.
