We were told we have air superiority.
You do not have air superiority if an F-15E is shot down by either a SAM or a MANPAD.
I agree.
I think there's some details that we're definitely missing or not privy to.
And I get it.
Obviously, there's some operational secrets that need to be kept.
I do know that they're extraordinarily highly trained.
And there's actually a part of me that was really grateful that they were very experienced people.
senior aviators, but also experienced and senior in age and maturity.
I mean, to be on the ground for more than two days, broken back behind enemy lines, that took a certain level of fortitude that I don't even know, you know, that I've had in that situation.
So,
I don't know if they were really shot down by MAPED, to your point, because we've been claiming air superiority.

Yeah, it would be horrible to say we got shot down by a SAM after we claimed air superiority.
So who knows, you know, exactly what took them down.
But thank goodness they had...
