I'm not communicating via content planner.

I feel like life is sort of like a series of I made it's.

I always tell this story about the first time I crashed a Marc Jacobs show because I felt like, gosh, this is exactly where I want to be.

But, you know, another one is probably going to the shows and, you know, sometimes young people will come up to you and they'll say, oh, I love to read your reviews.

And that always, when that first happened, I remember being like startled by it.

And so...

Yes.

I struggled to come up with something concise about this, so I decided to offer a cautionary tale.

Ooh.

Which is to be creative, I think you have to hold on to that instinct that made you want to create in the beginning.

And like, you know, basically in the simplest terms, it's sort of like stay connected to the street.

Like really...

If you're making fashion, you need to see how people are wearing clothes.

And you can't really do that in an ivory tower.

And I think that, you know, fashion, as designers become more and more successful, it drives them into those ivory towers a lot.

It's also very comfortable in the ivory tower.

And so, you know, I just think that it pays for people to, you know, go out there, go for walks, do some serious people watching.
