Real old school, not high scoring.

Granted, it wasn't like 10, you know, 12-9 or something like that or 9-3.

But yeah, real robust, confrontational game.

Some wonderful swings.

You know, the scrum was a great battle.

Ultimately, Northland had the better scrum, and that sort of helped them.

But, oh, my God, yeah, just good fun.

Took right till the full 80 for Northland to really sort of close it off.

And even then, you just kind of thought, well...

Great finish to what I thought, again, was another really good rugby weekend across the motu.

Well, they didn't cough over the ball.

I think it was 25 turnovers they conceded last week.

This time the number was down to 14, but they also won the turnover battle as well.

I think it was six to two.

And three of those led directly to points in the second half when they were using Cheslin Colby's kicking to control the scoreboard.

Up at halftime, Malcolm Marks with three turnovers, forcing penalties, and Colby just kept them at arm's length and enough and forced the All Blacks to have to chase that game.

So they played very well in the first half, and then it was beautifully managed throughout the second 40, I felt.
