No, there's no evidence to say that you should take off moles.
You're obviously going to be replacing them with a scar.
I think if someone has a larger congenital mole on a sun-exposed site, such as the face, it's always going to get UV.
There are some people who would like to have that taken off.
But no, really take a good image.
I mean, everyone has a smartphone now.
Take a good image and hold it up against the mole.
If he's still growing, the mole might grow with him and then it'll clearly stop when he stops growing.
But there's no reason to definitely take it off.

It sounds like this person is getting actinic keratosis, which are pre-skin cancers.
So I actually like to use a cream called 5-fluorouracil, which is a topical chemotherapy and the patient would use it for three weeks and then that kills off all of those sun damaged cells.
But it is, it's not an easy process.
It makes them look worse before it gets better.

Now, normally those patients would present to an ophthalmologist as opposed to dermatology because they'd have eye symptoms like blurred vision or lines in front of their eyes.
But yes, that does happen.
There isn't really, if it's recurring, apart from taking another course of antibiotics, but they're not good for your gut either.
So if a person had good success with isotretinoin the first time, I would potentially do it again.
