Can you own multiple Amazon seller central accounts all at the same time?
The answer is a little bit more confusing than you might initially think it is.
My name is Noah Wickham.
I'm VP of sales marketing here at my Amazon guy.
And this is a question that we actually get fairly frequently around whether or not people are allowed to own more than one seller central account.
And even Amazon who recently actually posted about this in their news talks about account health tips for multiple selling accounts.
So let's read through it and kind of talk about
the granularity of owning multiple accounts and when it makes sense to have more than one account and when it likely doesn't make sense to.
So what they essentially say is know when you can have multiple accounts.
So first and foremost, you may open separate accounts when you have distinct brands with different storefront names.
manufacture products for separate companies, or participate in our programs requiring separate accounts.
For example, if you have registered one brand that sells soap and another that sells pet food, you can maintain two accounts to simplify management.
Then secondly, learn how policy issues affect related accounts.
If there's a violation of our selling policies or seller code of conduct in one account, all your related accounts may be impacted.
So let's talk about what they are basically saying here.
So the way is if you have brand a or company a set up and that company sells, let's say balloons, and then you have company B.
And company B you're deciding to launch a brand new brand.
And you're like, ah, it doesn't make sense because companies, a name is balloons for us.
And then company B well, you're going to be selling coffee mugs.
And so you're going to make a company that is coffee mugs, USA, right?
