A four-month-old Palestinian infant needing urgent care was prevented from reaching the hospital after Israeli soldiers closed down a checkpoint west of the Palestinian city of Ramallah this weekend.
She died on Sunday as a result.
Leila Ghannam, the governor of Ramallah, criticized the Israeli military, saying one closed military gate killed this baby.
The same weekend, Israeli soldiers fatally shot a 16-year-old boy during a raid.
