Of like, no, let's let's actually invest in the IC track and never have to flip that person over to management.
That's my take on what's gonna happen in the future.
And I think as we we talk about L and D, a lot of the L and D conversation is always around manager training.
And I get it.
It makes sense.
Like that's where we have invested a lot of the time and the energy.
I think where it's going in the future is what we were talking about earlier with AI is like can we get these individual contributors, the actual doers skills, can we invest in those people without having to invest in their managers who are sometimes considered overhead in a business?

You know, um, Shopify just rolled out this this mastery program, which Kelly and I have laughed about because we don't actually know what the fuck it means.
But what we think it means is like really investing in individual contributors and
rewarding the mastery as they continue to gain experience and excellence in their craft and rewarding the craftspeople versus rewarding the managers.
And I I would just submit to HR leaders who listen to the show.
Cause you do have to kinda pick one.
