What America has given to the world is staggering.

In just the last 120 years alone, this country has produced, just for example, the air conditioner, which made entire regions of the world livable, the telephone, which connected people across vast distances, the radio, which brought the news of the world and the people's home in real time, the computer, the internet, the microwave, the transistor,

And beyond technology, America fought to make slavery illegal, a stand that, despite its complicated history, shaped the moral trajectory of nations.

Even that list barely scratches the surface.

You could go on to mention Edison, Ford, Disney, Hollywood, or the abundance of food available to ordinary Americans, and still feel that you left something out.

If America were religion, the whole world would turn towards it daily in gratitude, grateful for the wisdom of a handful of extraordinary men whose ideas formed 250 years ago continue to shape the world we live in today.

May God bless America for another 250 years.

And it's just, it's incredible what's happening today.

And, you know, I always go back to, I thank God every day for what we have.

And it's a gift we get.

That's why they call it the present.
