This is all after a South Australian Labour Senator, Marielle Smith, who shared her experiences with postpartum anxiety and called for this committee to be formed.
This is a very vulnerable time, Norman, in people's lives.
And it can be the Wild West.
There's no actual standardized breastfeeding guidelines or or or there's there's a lot of grey here and very vulnerable individuals.
And much misunderstood and con there's a lot of confusion, even something like postpartum depression.
Yes.
So on the back of this, the RACGP, so the Royal Australian College of GPs, is also calling for a dedicated, funded GP-led postpartum care plan with the establishment of a national breastfeeding advisory council, which is so long overdue, it can be really difficult for women to access support.
And they're calling for the states and territories to actually make the pregnancy baby book, handbook, green book, blue book, depending on which state you live in, digital.

I can't tell you how excited I would be for that.
I
can see in your face.
But this committee is so needed, Norman.
I just can't tell you how vulnerable and uncertain and grey it is.
And what you what care you get between different rooms depending on where you live, it's often not standardized, there's not guidelines, there's not consensus.
And so gosh, we have such a huge space where we need to do better.
And we'll keep an eye on that committee and its progress as it goes on.
And I thought I'd just mention some really interesting and good Australian research into schizophrenia and other major mental health problems, such as bipolar disorder and major depression.
They've looked at the genes that are activated in various parts of the brain.
And in people who've actually died.
