The insurance markets are heavily linked to this.
And most wars in one form or another are actually insured.
So they knew I came from that background.
And they also knew I could get information for them very easily because it was my day job.
And another thing people need to understand is how...
You have to have 90% truth in what you do.
If you're going to operate as an agent and go undercover and get secret information, in the movies, we send in James Bond.
The reality is if an intelligence officer went into a situation that'd be found out within seconds, there would be serious consequences.
So your cover must be 90% truth.
If your cover's 90% truth, you've only got to remember 10% of the bullshit.
That's the difference.
So for me, I can go into a company, an organization, an institution, anywhere in the world, because I can go under my special risks.
umbrella and they will start telling me the data so it's like okay they're not going to have any concerns giving me the data because they can check me they can see that i work for the world's largest consultancy there is no problem so they'll start telling me all the information that i would need to go to the insurance market so it was very easy to get data so what we would do is one copy for me one copy for my underwriter and one copy would go missing somewhere
Again, there's a lot of misconception around that.
I'm not saying there hasn't been instances in the past where people have said, OK, did the services have something to do with that?
But generally speaking, and I say this quite often, and people laugh at me sometimes when I say it, there isn't the corruption you think.
It is not corruption, it's risk management.
It will often come across as somebody might have influenced something.
That's not what the services do.
We don't influence outcomes.
