The Clacton Parliamentary constituency includes several coastal towns and villages.
Clacton Town itself, where I'm speaking to Neil, is the most known, and seven miles to the northeast is Frinton.
Down the coast from Frinton is Jaywick, which is routinely described as the most deprived neighbourhood in the country.
It's where a UN special rapporteur on extreme poverty reported a crisis in two thousand nineteen.
And where Channel Five set its series Benefits by the Sea.
