Earlier this year, a senior FBI official in the U.S.
state of Texas issued this warning to parents.
In the video, the agent warned of online networks targeting and manipulating children.
He said that more than four hundred and fifty people were being investigated for their ties to these sinister and violent groups across the US.
Near identical warnings have been issued by law enforcement officials in other states over recent months.
The online networks they're describing are operating globally, with perpetrators and victims across dozens of countries, including Australia.

You've been on Full Story with us before, where we've talked about some of the dark corners of the internet where children are exposed to violent and extremist material.
You've recently written a piece for The Guardian diving deep into an online network where children coerce other children.
How long have you been looking into what's known as seven six four?
I've seen this network described as you just have as a sadistic or Satanist group.
It's also been referred to as a nihilistic, violent, extremist group.
Can you tell me about the kinds of attitudes and ideas that are pushed and promoted by people who are part of this network?
Can you tell me about how this began and the founder of this network?
An American by the name of Bradley Cadenhead.
