In the case of the consultants...

It's about making sure that the publicly funded hospital system is mainly serving patients who don't have private health insurance and who need hospital care.

Whereas that's not being impeded by people who are making private money in the public hospitals.

But in this case, it's about access to justice for those who can't afford private representation.

So I think that's a distinction to be made.

And I mean, I'm not an expert in the legal aid system, but...

It seems to me only fair that if the legal representation takes more than one occasion, you should get paid for subsequent occasion.

And the fee that's mentioned there of 60 euro per appearance doesn't seem outrageous to me.

So I'm not so sure about how this is being framed.

But I think the Minister for Justice is kind of piggybacking on that public sense that lawyers have had an awful lot to potentially affect the most vulnerable here, which I think there's a real risk of that.

Well, that it's kind of an arbitrary profit criteria that's at play here rather than actually financial difficulties that obviously Aer Lingus has been through in the past.

So that IAG is kind of demanding that they make between a 12% and a 15% profit margin.

And they're falling just underneath that at 11.2.

And that for that reason is that they're being potentially declined investment are being decreased.

are being urged to cut jobs to make that margin.

So it's not to be profitable.

It's to be particularly profitable, which seems a bit of an arbitrary threshold for deciding jobs.

I will say, of course, in the same week, the government has passed legislation to raise the passenger cap in Dublin Airport with no reference to the climate impacts of that and specifically in the law saying the climate law doesn't apply to this.

So avoiding any scrutiny of the impacts of increasing aviation.

This is another one where we may have mixed emotions in that I think probably almost everyone in the country has enjoyed the last couple of weeks.
