But I just think it's amazing the fact that, you know, we're looking to keep the ball, we're looking to kick out, we're looking to score.
Who do we go to?
Colby McDonald and he's 18 years of age.
It's unbelievable.
picked up rightly after the Toronto game obviously for me it feels I didn't think they were that far away you know in the Toronto game they had probably enough chances to win that game but but yeah they were better they were better on Saturday
Yeah, well, look, they got promotion, obviously.
So, I mean, that has to be, as far as progress is concerned, that has to be the next step that they get up to Division 1 and they maintain their status there.
I suppose that's for next year.
But I think the big thing for me, around me, is that they would have been massively disappointed.
Like, when they look back on the opportunity that they missed out on to win a Leinster Championship,
and watching their neighbours you know win it that had to hurt and I don't know if they truly got over that fact in their own head at the weekend again they weren't massively you know off it or they weren't massively far away from Mayo but they got no scores off the bench at all enough with the five subs and they're
They really needed an injection coming into the last probably 14 or 15 minutes of that game and they just never really got it.
Well, we actually, I actually, I actually, we were out, we watched about 25 minutes of it.
We were there early, so rather than sitting in changes, we went out and watched about 20, 25 minutes of it.
Like the pace and the power was akin to anything you'll see at senior level.
The first half was, it was a phenomenal half of football from down and from on it.
and then there was a bit of a drop off in the second half but yeah Fermanagh probably feel as if they should have took it the extra time undoubtedly should have took it the extra time but down just again they just look they look so good you know at different stages in that game they have so many scorers coming from all over the place and they're just yeah they just look they look very good but Fermanagh weren't
you know that far off without I thought you know the physicality in the game was serious as far as there was a lot of big men playing in that game there was a lot of battles around the middle of the field and down probably won the majority of them and that's what really kept them in the game and pushed them over the line but
for manna you know considering how their league went you know have made a serious recovery and obviously they'll be kicking themselves today but um yeah so yeah i did get the chance to watch it it was uh it was played at a phenomenal pace in the first half and then as i said it was a wee bit of dip as far as the pace was concerned in the second half but there had to be because there's no way two teams could continue to go like go at it like that in crow park
No I think that's fair I think at half time we were in trouble we were 8 down I suppose the only thing is we were 9 down the week before away from home we just we felt as if we didn't we hadn't played and part of that was probably down to me or us as a management team we probably tried to plug too many holes instead of just letting the lads play a bit and that's what they did in the second half and look at
