They'll all argue that that's the right decision.
And that's the thing.
It's all up for conjecture.
And that is a big problem.
big big problem that uh that a lot of the rules that we have in the game are subjective and they're down to the referee's discretion and all those things and i suppose like me and you have argued against the clock uh or the hooter um and i suppose that's the one thing they've taken away from the ref but they have burdened the refs with with a huge amount of other stuff but
look i don't want to spend the podcast talking about referees and decisions because it was too good of a weekend of weekend of football for that but the the uh there is a massive burn on uh on decisions and uh that's unfair to referees and i still go back and i keep hopping on until it happens but like it's not a game for a ref one referee anymore i mean there's a couple of
instances highlighted over the weekend where referees are trying to make a decision from 60 yards away and people are saying there's nobody going to be fitter than Gaelic footballers a referee is not going to be fitter than a Gaelic footballer the way the game when a turnover on a team breaks quick I mean it's very very difficult to make a decision from 50 and 60 yards away and you are going to get some of them wrong and therein lays another one of the problems so a referee in each half definitely solves that problem

I think Tomas and Conor McManus and Brian Fenton were on for RTE, and that's what I watched today.
And one of the things that they said about, you know, not taking in VAR, et cetera, but one of the things that they had said was the thing that we've been talking about for some time was also a team of officials.
