It's not gonna be for the rest of my life.
I'll be working for this team next.
I need my network more than I need my current colors.
Ben Johnson has put his current colors above any of that stuff.
And it could come back to bite him, but I hope Bears fans understand how rare that is because most coaches are very concerned about preserving their friends, their associates, and not burning bridges because you never know when you're going to need to cross over it to get yourself a job.
Okay, Mike, you mentioned the nine different head coaching vacancies.
I'm trying to figure out who goes where, who's going to be left in this game of musical chairs.
It seems like almost like dominoes, though.
The first one has to fall.
Is John Harbaugh that first domino and then all of a sudden things fall into place?
How do you see this kind of working out around the league?
As to the teams that want John Harbaugh and believe they have a realistic shot to get him, he's the first domino.
There may be teams that know we have no chance, we're not willing to pay him what he wants, or maybe we have done our homework and we've decided that we just don't want him.
Those teams can go after whoever their top choice may be.
There's so many candidates.
The supply of potential head coaching candidates always surpasses the demand, even in a year when there's nine jobs available.
But for now, it's Harbaugh.
Tomlin has made it clear reportedly that he's not going to coach in 2026.
I still don't rule out someone making him an offer that he just cannot say no to.
But Harbaugh is the primary logjam.
