And then you think about, like, imagine being a 60 Minutes producer, correspondent, and the person tinkering with your show that's not broken is the same person who has overhauled the evening news and led that show to historic low ratings.

Like, these are the lowest ratings we've seen in the 21st century on the CBS evening news.

I mean, that show, um,

was already not doing super well.

It's always been really in third place, at least in modern times, but it is now just dropping viewers like flies.

And so it's like, why is this person now deciding that they want to overhaul the actually successful program on the network?

Why not at least address

the mess that you've made at CBS Evening News.

And, you know, whether they're going to acknowledge mistakes, I don't really think so.

I don't really think that's the Barry Weiss's style.

She's left Tony DiCoppo in place.

They're backing him as the anchor.

They're trying to kind of spin these numbers to look as positive as possible.

But it's really bad for Tony.

And by the way, it's also really bad for the CBS morning show.

That show is seeing some of the lowest ratings ever posted, like ever in the show's history.

So all the shows that Barry Weiss has actually touched

you know, she's like the opposite of Midas, right?

Everything she touches seems to crumble at her fingertips.

And so, again, people are wondering inside CBS News, across the industry, why is David Ellison, the owner of Paramount, giving Barry Weiss so much power?
